Markus flashed himself quietly in Themis's temple, he grimaced as he realized he was already surrounded by Zeus's Sentinels.

"Damn." He mumbled under his breath and manifested his staff in his hand. The one his father, the last of the Malachi, Nick Gautier, had given to him. Half Malachi and half Greek god, Markus had blue eyes like his father and his auburn hair fell to his shoulder like his mother's Artemis.

Weighing the familiar weight of the staff, he centered his powers and as he felt the surge of them he could already tell his eyes were turning red.

"You should surrender yourself, you souless bastard!" Bia, one of the Sentinels sneered at him. He knew she was powerful but not enough to beat him. Inspite of being a half god he was still a Malachi and his powers came from the Primal Source, a force that was even greater than the gods.

Unamused Markus smirked and said "Not for long your bitch. Once I get to dear Uncle, I'll have my soul again . But first I think there are two little buggers sent by old grandpa that need to be squished."

In one fluid clean movement he jumped and did a backflip swinging his staff toward Zelos, the other Sentinel, as he ducked the god bolt Bia had thrown at him, he managed to blast Zelos with his own.

It's not like Portugal that if you don't put your kid in school you go to Jail. They would be crazy if they made a law like that here, because the prision is already filled with criminals, why put innocent people there?
Why take kids to foster homes if they're already filled of kids coming from abusive parents, teen pregnancy, crazy people, parents that couldn't afford a child.

Do you really think they would have time to invest the population in learning english?

So yeah not many schools have english here, and if they do they don't invest on it because they DON'T REALLY CARE.

So no. Dreams like that and BRAZIL don't fit together it's not easy like it is in Portugal.

I would like to change the english speakers percentage around here. But you also have to find people that are willing to learn too, and a lot of them are. They just don't have time. They're too busy trying to survive, trying to pay the bills, trying at least to have some semblance of a good life. Because what fairytales taught me was that you only have moments of happiness and they end when they do for a reason. Because it's not forever.

I have people that support me of course but only with words and for me that's not enough. Hell words have never been enough for me.

After that moment of confusion and half shock, I realized something very wrong.
"Cameron, what are you doing here? If my mom sees you here she's gonna rip my head off!" I hissed.

Cameron's smile widened. What was wrong with him? Does he want me dead? He looked down, I guess expecting me to a get an answer from that.

My eyes followed his gaze and it fell on the groceries bag he was carrying.
I frowned. "Is that supposed to help me while my mom is killing me?"

"Helping me with my groceries..." My mum cut in. I almost passed out right there. "And you could be a true scout and help me out there with the rest of it."
Cameron chuckled.

I left mumbling some swear words and without taking a second glance to my mom or Cameron.

As I went down the stairs my brothers came running up. Not really helping my case on trying to hurry up and not let my mom be alone with Cameron... Oh God I should go back... They can't be alone in the same room. She'll find out.

I mean if me and Cameron get together I will eventually tell her, but now I don't even know what we are. So yeah, not such a good idea to let her know about ''us''. Whatever ''us'' means.

My brothers disappeared in the flight of stairs and I continued to go down; so I would go back as fast as I could.

I got to the car and was picking up the bag of groceries when the voice came again.

He has arrived.

It whispered, penetrating my mind and making me shudder, paralyzing me. A chill went down my spine as the hairs in the back of my neck stood to end.

"He has arrived." The sound escaped my lips just as air escapes your lungs.

Suddenly a cold hand reached for my shoulder and I, unable to move and sound unable to reverberate through me, blacked out.

The last thing I heard was a distant voice.

"Who?"


First there was a sound. Droplets of water falling on more water. Like a tap leaking or something.
Where am I?
Second there was a smell. An alluring sweet smell that made you want to snuggle against your favorite blanket and fall asleep.
How did I get here?


Third a warm, comforting, thing brushed against my bare back.
Bare back?
Fourth I breathed in, what felt like the first time in ages. But my lungs were only filled by a dirty cold liquid.
What is happening? I wondered once again.


Suddenly I opened my eyes ready to fight for my life and cough out whatever the heck I had just swollen but all I saw was darkness and a beam of white light. It was all blurry and confusing.

I wanted to struggle, fight for survival.

Then two hands grabbed me by my shoulders and lifted me up.


I came to what seemed to be the surface, and realised that I was underwater.

I coughed and coughed, and coughed out the bad-tasting water that filled my lungs. After a moment of spluttering and chest pain, I was able to regain my strength ...
I looked around and after a moment of blinking, I realised I was in a lake. Not just any lake, a lake that somehow I knew. A lake that I had already seen in a picture. Not in my house, but somewhere else.
It was dark and the monlight hit the lake water making silver beams iluminate the night. And the trees around the lake clung heavily, as though they were old and tired.

Suddenly a thought hit me.

How did I get out of the lake?

Yes! Someone pulled me out, I felt it!

I looked around looking for a human shape and what I found was- whiteness. A flash of white light had hit me, I flinched and covered my eyes.


When I felt it was safe to open them again, I slowly reached down my arms and opened my eyes.
 I wasn't at the lake anymore. I was somewhere else.

I wasn't dirty anymore, instead of the dirt covered wet clothes I wore, I was wearing a baby blue dress.
 Around me was that park again with the labirinth and the beautiful swing. I wasn't tired, I felt happy and also I never wanted to leave this place again. And just like that other time I gracefully, something very unusual to me but at the time seemed only natural, sat on the swing and slowly started swinging. And soon enough She came again. That beautiful woman that resembled and Angel, not just by her beauty but the light and goodness that erradiated from her.

I wanted to say sort of a hello to her but I didn't know what to say. Clearly she was someone devine or at least someone you should pay respect to, you cannot just say hi..

"Say no more my child." I frowned. Does she knows what I'm thinking?

"Yes, in fact I do."
